Linden Homes' West Quarter development

The major regeneration of Bristol is creating enormous opportunity for investors, with areas such as Bedminster developing booming rental markets and potential for house price growth that exceeds the rest of the city, says developer, Linden Homes.

The Bristol suburb of Bedminster, located south of the River Avon, was once an integral part of Bristol's industrial past, but now the streets are filled with boutiques, restaurants and fashionable bars. A 2-bedroom apartment currently costs around £140,000 in Bedminster according to 4homes.com, compared to £230,000 in nearby upmarket Clifton.

With the £500 million Broadmead expansion now well underway to create a new city quarter in Bristol, the city is expecting an increase in both investment from business as well as population, with the creation of thousands of new jobs.

Linden Homes has sold 65% of its West Quarter development of one and two-bedroom apartments off plan before the development is even complete. It has also made planning applications for a scheme of 108 one, two and three-bedroom apartments on Waterloo Road Old Market, and a scheme of 130 one, two and three-bedroom homes in Montpellier, which will comprise commercial space and the meticulous restoration of historic buildings.
